For one of our customers, astronomy was a hobby that needed a home. But how can you stargaze underneath a shed roof? Together, we were able to design and then craft a shed with an adjustable roof. Now, when rain comes, they can protect their equipment. Otherwise, the stars are a canopy of protection and beauty.

Basic Customizable Features
Exterior & Colors
Get a backyard shed with an exterior made of vinyl, stained wood, painted wood, metal, or log siding. With a metal or shingle roof, there are 100s of color combinations available for your portable shed.
Structural Changes
If you’ll be storing extra-heavy items in your portable shed, we recommend upgrading the spacing of the floor joists to 12” on-center. Pressure-treated plywood flooring is also available as an upgrade.
Windows & Doors
Double doors are standard on all customizable portable sheds, but there are various styles available. You can also add a window to the back wall of your shed. Windows from 18×27 to 30×36 are available.
Vents
Adding gable vents (available in several styles) will increase airflow through your backyard shed and reduce moisture build-up. Additionally, ridge vent can be added to increase roof ventilation.
Basic Standard Features
Building a better backyard shed means starting with quality materials. Outside of your customizations, our sheds comes standard with:
- 4×6 pressure-treated skids
- 2×6 floor joists
- ¾” tongue-and-groove flooring with a 50-year warranty
- 3” ring-shank nails hold everything secure
- Trusses with steel gussets, framed at 16” on-center
- Boxed in corners for a finished look
- A locking double door with a diamond-plate threshold
- 5/12 pitch and drip edge on all portable shed roof edges
- A 10-year workmanship warranty on all custom built sheds

At Esh’s Utility Buildings, we aim to assist our neighbors across Kentucky and Tennessee in various ways. One of the ways we achieve this is by providing free delivery within a 50-mile radius of any of our dealer locations. Beyond 50 miles, it’s a simple per-mile fee. Getting a custom made storage or garden shed should be as easy as possible!
